FLAMEBOI RECORDS is an independent record label based in Atlanta, Georgia that focuses on the promotion of independent recording artists of most genres of music and spoken word. Our goal is to provide the next plateau for innovative artists and music that is overlooked by the major record labels. FLAMEBOI RECORDS will be the bridge between budding hopefuls with only a demo in hand, to at least an established independent artist with released music, web presence and more.   FLAMEBOI RECORDS is devoted to seeking and embracing artists and songs that carry a torch for our generation.   We seek artists who possess not only talent and vision, but passion to create something innovative that socially impacts the listener.   Special attention is paid to artist who can be classified as edutainment, which are artists that seek to not only entertain but also to educate and motivate social change.

PROJECTS IN DEVELOPMENT

YUMMY
Three hot females straight from St. Mountain's Club Strokers with a performance that conjures memories of Vanity 6 or the Mary Jane Girls.   But looks can be deceiving.   These three brick-house women embrace intelligence as much as they do sexuality and challenge the rules and social norms of what it means to be a lady.   CD single release set for late summer 2005.

OVERLOOKED:THE INDEPENDENT GAME JUST GOT SWEETER
FLAMEBOI RECORDS is looking for artists to be a part of our upcoming compilation CD release on our label, first quarter 2006.    This is a perfect opportunity for budding artists with a demo to have your music mastered and released to the general public.   FLAMEBOI RECORDS is devoted to seeking and embracing artists and songs that carry a torch for our generation.   We seek artists who possess not only talent and vision, but passion to create something innovative that socially impacts the listener.   Special attention is paid to artist who can be classified as edutainment, which are artists that seek to not only entertain but to educate and motivate social change.

How this works?   Every artist will submit 2 or 3 of their strongest songs to be considered. All song writing credits and song ownership will be retained by the respective owners.   The only way to be chosen by FLAMEBOI A&R Team is to submit great material to be considered.   We will be choosing the best twelve artists that demonstrate creativity, originality, and professionalism with their craft.

The deadline for entry of material is December 1, 2005.   Twelve artists/songs will be chosen to be featured on the OVERLOOKED: The Independent Game Just Got Sweeter compilation.   All artist/groups will be notified, and asked to provide the song requested, in a suitable format ready for mastering/manufacturing. The submitted product must be mixed, but not mastered.

Each artist is required to purchase 20 of the finished CDs ($10.00 each) prior to being included on the compilation which once received, can be sold by the artists for profit.   We will then promote and market our CD, via independent distributors and online CD distribution services with each artist receiving a set royalty after initial investments have been recouped.

If you are interested, submitted your promo kit via mail to p.o.box 7907, Atlanta, Georgia, 30309. Also, for additional information, contact me at overlookedcompilation@anthonyantoine.com .

ANTHONY ANTOINE'S FIRST SOLO POETRY CD
I promised myself that for the rest of 2005, I wouldn't record music for myself but concentrate on producing other artists.   Weeks prior to making this decision and after a poetry-only performance in New York, friends began asking me about recording a solo poetry CD.   Who knows what will happen with Closets on Fire ?   But I know in the next few years, my first solo poetry set will appear.   I've thought about calling it The Revolution Will Not Be Emailed , paying homage to one of my favorite poets Gil Scott Heron which is also the title of one of the pieces I performed in New York. Take a listen to it here:   The Revolution Will Not Be Emailed .   Now I've decided to let my friends help me name my CD.   If you have ideas for a title of my first solo poetry set, email me at namemypoetryCD@anthonyantoine.com .
